Thanks to everyone who supported our Murder Mystery event in the Park. It was well attended for a mid-week afternoon event. We raised £140 for Cancer UK, the regular charity that we support, and they now have the funds. We have now completed the Zoom sessions for this season, (hooray!) and maybe we will have to revert to them next September. In the meantime we have two lovely social events that we try and do each year. Now we can all get out and about a bit more, this is a good time for us to socialise again. We will be starting rehearsals for the new Murder Mystery (from Andrew) in September and then a full production at Liston Hall at the end of the month.
Players BBQ Friday 30 July
Meet at Brian and Margaret’s house (21 Gossmore Walk, SL7 1QZ) from 6.00pm onwards to take advantage of pool/hot tub (purely optional!), and eat from 7.00. All food provided on the day, no need to bring any food, but please bring your drinks. There will be vegetarian options also. Plenty of spaces to change if you want a dip before or after the BBQ. Henley-Marlow Canoe Trip
Update: this has been postponed to 21 August due to weather conditions.
This is in place of the usual summer picnic and it’s a picnic on the move downstream! We have moved the date to avoid the new Henley Regatta rowing dates. Charge of £10 per person payable on the day, up to 3 people in one canoe, all safety equipment provided. The meeting point will be the car park adjacent to the Henley Rowing museum, which is where the launch hut and pontoon is. We plan to stop for the picnic at the Medmenham end of Ferry Lane as before, just over midway, and then finish at the Two Brewers in Marlow around 5.00pm. Let Brian know numbers as soon as you can.
