 Caroline Law

Stage Manager

Caroline Law

Caroline has been with The Players since the production of “The Darling Buds of May”; and has been the Deputy Stage Manager for every production until this one. Now she assumes the mantle of head honcho. I’m sure she will manage both the play and the responsibility in her usual calm and organised fashion.

 Sue Lovell

Deputy Stage Manager

 Sue Lovell

Sue was brand new to The Players for the production of “Hi-De-Hi” and promotion has come upon her suddenly. I’m sure she will cope after the madcap scene changes that were part and parcel of “Hi-De-Hi”.

 Andrew Stafford

Lighting & Rehearsal Prompt

Andrew Stafford

Andrew is the current President of the Marlow Players and has directed and acted in many productions over the past three decades. Andrew has kindly stepped in, in place of our usual lighting person. He has been invaluable in rehearsals, keeping the cast to the script in this very wordy play.

 Charlie Foord

Sound

Charlie Foord

Charlie, “Gadget” as he is affectionately known, joined The Players for the production of “Tons of Money”. He has been the sound guru and set builder for each production since.

 Brian Couling

Harvey Barrett

Brian Couling

Brian is a long standing member of The Players. He has been in every production in the last 14 years, with one exception, and most as the leading man. He last appeared as Bert Pratt, Barry Stuart-Hargreaves’ real name, in Hi-De-Hi. Here he plays the lengthy role of Harvey Barrett, Dave Thursby’s long-time script writer and closest friend.

DianaH34

Vi Barrett

Di Hudson

Diana has been with The Players since 1993 and last appeared as Miss Benita Mullet in April 2011 in “Tons of Money”. As Vi Barrett, she has to play the foil to Harvey’s wise cracking comedy script writer. Both Brian and Di have put a lot of effort into these very wordy parts, for which, I am very grateful.

 GloriaK87

Laura Thursby

Gloria Kendrick

Gloria has been with us since 1997 and has appeared onstage in leading roles, backstage as stage manager and in front of stage as director. She last played in ‘The Hollow Crown’ and last directed and acted in “Hi-De-Hi”. Here she has a less arduous role of the “grieving” widow of the comic phenomenon that was Dave Thursby. She also found time to coordinate the costumes.

 Andy Scott

Kevin Prewitt

Andy Scott

Andy started acting five years ago in Maidenhead and has had many roles and also appears regularly in panto. ”’Allo, ‘Allo” was his first outing with The Marlow Players and last played Spike, and Mr. Pritchard in “Hi-De-Hi”. Kevin is the late Dave Thursby’s agent who will do anything to get his 10%.

 Laura Goodband

Jane Prewitt

Laura Goodband

Laura has been with the Players for over two decades and last appeared as Belinda Budgett in “Laughter in the Dark”. Here she plays the other half of the Prewitt acting agency. Although teased by the late Dave Thursby and derided by Harvey, there is more to Jane than “Two pipe cleaners going for a walk”.

 Jennifer Major

Kay

Jenifer Major

Jen first appeared for The Players in 2004 as Maggie in “Hobson’s Choice”. She has played both leading and minor roles since. She last appeared as Peggy Ollerenshaw in “Hi-De-Hi”. Nobody at the funeral seems to know anything about the mysterious Kay and is described by Jane Prewitt as “Not quite the thing”.
