 Brian Plested

Stage Manager

Brian Plested

Brian first joined us backstage in “Haywire” and has actually appeared onstage in “The Darling Buds of May”. For this production he has taken on the role of tea maker-in-chief at rehearsals, for which we are all very grateful.

Graham Evans

Lighting

Graham Evans

Graham is a “Hobson’s Choice” debutant and has thrown himself in to all things technical backstage. He has even appeared in an acting role in “The Darling Buds of May”. For this production we has been sharing his time and talents with Marlow FM.

 Caroline Law

ASM

Caroline Law

Caroline has been with us since “The Darling Buds of May”; somebody had to be backstage while the rest of the crew were gallivanting on stage. Caroline attends to all those small details that make the bigger picture.

 Elena Pond

Marketing and Publicity

Elena Pond

Elena first role for The Players was Phillipa Haymes in “A Murder is Announced” and last appeared as Mariette in “The Darling Buds of May”. She is quite at home organising the marketing and publicity and I have an inkling she prefers it.

Charlie Foord

Sound

Charlie Foord

Charlie, “Gadget” as he is affectionately known, joined the Players for the previous production, “Tons of Money”. Once more he has been producing “toys for the boys” and will probably be sitting in the audience running the sound from his iPhone.

The Cast

(in order of appearance)

 Karen Wilton

Barbara Forth

Karen Wilton

Karen is a new comer to the Players and this is her first outing in the lead part of Barbara Forth. She did her apprenticeship with the Players in the previous production, “Tons of Money”, working backstage, assisting the stage manager. Here she plays Barbara Forth, the new, young wife of grumpy old Dr. Forth.

 GloriaK01 colour

Dorothy Livingstone

Gloria Kendrick

Gloria has been with us for over a decade and has appeared onstage in leading roles, backstage as stage manager and in front of stage as director. He we find her as the Forth’s chatty char

 Hilary Cox

Mary Haigh

Hilary Cox

Hilary has been with the Players for an undisclosed number of decades and is always instrumental in our productions both on and off stage. Here she teams up with David Bunn as the bickering couple who have been good friends with Richard Forth for many years.

 David Bunn420

Alan Haigh

David Bunn

David is another newcomer to the Players. And this is his first role on stage although he does have a great deal of experience working backstage and has been creating numerous props for the production. He obviously has a great deal of patience as he is continually prodded, pushed and poked by Hilary, all the way through the play.

Brian Couling

Eric Dawson

Brian Couling

Brian is a long standing member of the Players and our current treasurer. He has been in every production in the last 14 years, with one exception, and most as the leading man. He nearly didn’t make this one as he has been flying to and from the States on business. To begin with, rehearsals mirrored his part of Eric in the play, with Brian turning up out of the blue.

 Jennifer Major

Julia Moore

Jennifer Major

Jen is another who first appeared for the Players in 2004 as Maggie in “Hobson’s Choice”. She has played both leading and minor parts since, most notably Constance Middleton in “The Constant Wife”.  As the “Merry Widow Moore”, she has great fun vamping it up and swapping insults with Dorothy.

 Andrew Stafford

Dr. Richard Forth

Andrew Stafford

Andrew has been with the Players for more years than he cares to remember. During that time, he has acted in and directed numerous productions and last appeared in “The Darling Buds of May” as Sir George Bluff-Gore. This is the first time in 14 years that he has been directed by Tony and this could be payback time.
