THE MARLOW PLAYERS – ‘RELATIVE VALUES’ 30 MARCH – 1 APRIL 2017
The cast and crew had worked very hard for this production and our large and appreciative audiences were presented with a very entertaining evening. The feedback has been very complimentary – particularly on the professional standard of the production.
Gloria wishes to thank all involved in this production: the cast acted to a wonderfully high standard; Caroline’s backstage crew (Sue, Jacky and Rosie) ensured that our set was stunning and each scene was set to perfection; Charlie and Graham provided great sound and lights. In addition the ‘backroom boys and girls’ need praising for doing the essential jobs which are generally unseen so rarely acknowledged, e.g. Andrew’s publicity drive – posting posters and flyers throughout the town, as well as giving mini-talks to local groups; Brian’s tireless work behind the scenes, putting up banners, organising tickets, etc.. plus set-building; Charlotte’s organisation of ticket-selling online and her research for our travel arrangements for France; Hilary’s work in providing programmes and flyers; Tony’s setting up of the programme itself; Jerry’s provision of transport for the set; Max’s help with set-building; plus all the people who volunteered to help with serving the interval refreshments. If I have forgotten to thank anyone in particular please rest assured that your contribution has been appreciated. It is just my memory at fault!
In addition to members of The Marlow Players, we received enormous support from Peter and Wendy Aldiss, who organise weddings and large parties at Monkton Barn and at Court Garden House. Peter is the licensee of Court Garden and not only gave us permission to serve wine, but generously provided a very elegant trolley each evening with all the accoutrements necessary for teas and coffees. It was a generous gesture and very much appreciated by our audiences and us.
