Crew

Caroline Law

Stage Manager

 Caroline Law

Caroline has been with us since “The Darling Buds of May”. She spent many years as the DSM and became our de facto stage manager for “Wife After Death”. She has managed to acquire an experienced team around her and managed to survive The Marlow Players “on tour”.

Graham Evans

Lighting

Graham Evans

Graham joined The Players in 2004 for the production of “Hobson’s Choice” and has remained a backstage stalwart ever since. He once appeared on stage in “The Darling Buds of May”, and made his directorial debut by directing the last production of  “Unseen Academicals”.

 Tony Bew

Sound

Tony Bew

Tony has been with The Players since 1997 and has appeared as many a lead, and bit part, as well as directing a number of productions. He last appeared as Lord Vetinari in “Unseen Academicals”. Since Charlie is in America for the week of production, he is stepping in to do the sound.

Charlie Foord

Set Building

Charlie Foord

Charlie Gadget, as he is known, joined The Players for the production of “Tons of Money”, in 2011. As one of our theatrical technocrats, he is much in demand for set building, prop building, sound effects, communications and anything involving technology. This time he is confined to the get in and get out as he is in America from Monday to Friday.

 Sue Lovell

Assistant Stage Manager

Sue Lovell

Sue’s first outing with The Players was “Laughter in the Dark” in 2013 and has been assisting backstage ever since. She is now part of Caroline’s well-oiled (?) team, painting, gathering props, costumes and building and clearing sets.

 Rosina Dolan

Properties

Rosina Dolan

Rosie, as she is affectionately known, first joined The Players for the visit of the French Baladins, in 2014, volunteering to house our visitors. She is now on her fourth production and becoming something of a veteran.

Set and Properties

Jacky Boxall

Jacky has been helping us for several productions now and still refuses to have her photograph taken for the programme. She is a very useful member of Caroline’s team and acts in the “sweeper” role of taking care of all the little bits and pieces that fall between Sue and Rosie’s remit.

The Cast

 Andy Scott

Peter Knight

Andy Scott

Andy is now pretty much a stalwart of The Marlow Players and also appears regularly in panto for the Maidenhead Drama Guild. ”’Allo, ‘Allo” was his first outing with us and he last appeared as Trevor Likely, in “Unseen Academicals”. He plays the struggling author, Peter Knight who unwittingly brings the play to life.

 Jocelyn Pearce

Minna

Jocelyn Pearce

Jossy first appeared for The Marlow Players as the redoubtable Mrs. Higgins in “Pygmalion”. Her last role was as Madam Sharn, the Vivienne Westwood of Ankh-Morpork, in

Unseen Academicals”. She gets to show off her west country accent as Minna, the caretaker.

 Jennifer Major

Lydia

Jennifer Major

Jen first appeared for The Players in 2004 as Maggie in “Hobson’s Choice”. She has played both leading and minor roles since. She last appeared as Juliet Stollop in “Unseen Academicals”. As Lydia, she gets to revel in the stock role of a waspish vamp; this will require a little effort on Jen’s behalf.

 Brian Couling

Cogburn

 Brian Couling

Brian is another member of The Players with over two decades of performing. He last appeared as Ottomy and the referee in “Unseen Academicals”. Having dallied with a number of roles over the past few productions, Brian is firmly back in his comfort zone as Cogburn, the archetypal butler.

 Charlotte Futcher

Kay

Charlotte Futcher

This is Charlotte’s second outing with The Marlow Players. She first appeared as Wilma de Worde in “Unseen Academicals”. Here she plays Kay, the typical ingénue, sweet, ingenuous and trusting. This is much more of an acting role than the narrative of Wilma, so we wish her luck.

 Hilary Cox

Eudora Babcock

Hilary Cox

Hilary has been with The Players for an undisclosed number of decades and is always instrumental in our productions both on and off stage. Her last production was as Mrs. Eynsford Hill in “Pygmalion”. Eudora is the stock severe old maid, who, unusually, does not get bumped off in chapter three.

 Laura Goodband

Addie

Laura Goodband

Laura has been with The Players for over two decades and last appeared as the maid and Lord Vetinari’s clerk in “Unseen Academicals”. Again she plays a maid but this one  is pert and vulnerable, almost constantly in a state of emotional stress and probably pregnant.

 DanStocker245

Dick Stanton

Dan Stocker

Dan is brand new to The Marlow Players, filling the role of Dick Stanton.  Dan first appeared on stage in 2008 as a late stand-in for The Wraysbury Players’ pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and has been with them since.  His latest role for Wraysbury was as  the Village Idiot in ‘Ali Baba’… a role that fits him on and off stage!

 Andrew Stafford

Jordan Dillingham

Andrew Stafford

Andrew has been with The Players for over two decades and has acted and directed for most of that time. He last appeared as Arch Chancellor  Ridcully in “Unseen Academicals”. As the lawyer of the piece, he exudes the feeling that it is not entirely through legitimate means that he has reached this position.
