David Horton
Andrew Stafford
Andrew has been with The Players for over two decades and has acted and directed for most of that time. He last played the grumpy old Punch and Judy man, with a surprising singing voice, in “Hi-De-Hi”. Here he plays the pompous, chauvinistic David Horton, the autocrat of Dibley Parish Council. I’m saying nothing about the casting. |

Frankie Pickle
Ruth Williams
Ruth is brand new to the Players, and takes on the challenging role of what was originally the male role of Frank Pickle. With a few word changes and a bit of part swapping, Ruth has managed to re-gender the role quite convincingly. We wish her well in her first role for the Players. |
|
Jim Trott
Tony Bew
Tony has been with The Players since 1997 and has appeared as many a lead, and bit part, as well as directing a number of productions. He last appeared as Ted Bovis, the Camp Host in “Hi de Hi” and last directed, “Wife After Death”. Now, now, now… now he has the opportunity to make a hash of both acting and directing. |
|
Letitia Cropley
Hilary Cox
Hilary has been with The Players for an undisclosed number of decades and is always instrumental in our productions both on and off stage. Her last production was as the camp (holiday) dancing instructor, Yvonne Stuart-Hargreaves, in “Hi-De-Hi”. As Mrs. Cropley she gets to show her mad side, complete with maniacal cackling.

Hugo Horton
Andy Scott
Andy is now pretty much a stalwart of the Marlow Players and also appears regularly in panto for the Maidenhead Drama Guild. ”’Allo, ‘Allo” was his first outing with us and he last appeared as Dave Thursby’s agent, Harvey, in “Wife After Death”. This time he plays the credulous Hugo, who has been in love with Alice Tinker for 26 years. |
|
Owen Newitt
Brian Couling
Brian is a long standing member of The Players, having reached his twentieth anniversary this year. He has been in every production in the last 14 years, with one exception, and most as the leading man. He last appeared as Harvey Barrett, Dave Thursby’s script writer in “Wife After Death”. There are not quite so many words to learn as Owen the “charming” farmer. |
|
Alice Tinker
Martha Wiekens
Martha spent most of her time growing up being involved in acting. At school and university she kept up acting in a number of plays, including, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Cloud 9. Since then, she has had a considerable number of years without any acting involvement, until the part of Alice, which was too good an opportunity to resist. |
|
Geraldine Granger
Gloria Kendrick
Gloria has been with us since 1997 and has appeared onstage in leading roles, backstage as stage manager and in front of stage as director. She last played the grieving widow, Laura in “Wife after Death”. She now takes in the eponymous role of Geraldine and has not only worked hard for the part, but has also helped with costumes and props and direction (again). |
|
Katie
Georgina Felisi
Georgina joined Marlow players to gain extra guidance in the arts and to have some more experience. She loves acting and singing and this experience comes in useful when she performs in school. She is also a poet and has just had one of her poems chosen for publication. We wish her well and hope to see her again in a future production. |
|
Luke
Alex Tomlinson
Alex joined the Marlow Players to gain a number of skills and hopes to sign up for good as soon as he turns 16 years old. He has been a drama student at Great Marlow school for 5 years. He wishes to continue with drama with the ambition of becoming an actor. We wish him luck in his ambitions and hope he enjoys this production with us. |

Woman
Christiane Crauford
Originally from Sao Paulo – Brazil, Christiane has been in England for 10 years. She is married with 2 boys. She has always enjoyed acting, and feels that you can call her mad, but she really thought about doing it for living. It didn’t work out and ended up with advertising degree. Could this be the beginning of something big?
